A deck for entertaining under a bespoke pergola is surrounded by grassy meadow planting and a beautiful Parrotia persica 'Vanessa' and standard Cotinus. A curved path of porcelain and gravel leads to a summer house for cosy film afternoons and yoga.⁠

Planting was inspired by the idea of a gothic meadow with plenty of grasses: Miscanthus, Sesleria autumnalis, Pennisetum and Anemanthele lessoniana weaving amongst assorted Persicaria with plenty of earlier season colour including dark Papaver orientale ‘Patty’s Plum’, Anthriscus sylvestris 'Ravenswing' and blackcurrant Allium sphaerocephalon.

And because the garden will be home to gatherings and parties, it also has beautiful lighting we’ve designed to take the space from day into night.
